Calvino in Chiang Mai

 Calvino in Chiang Mai

I rediscovered my past today.

My past changed due to the route I decided to take.

Only from the vintage of the future -that is now the present- I can have a better understanding of the remote experience I had twenty years ago in Chiang Mai.

I lived back then in the mountains with the Karen people only to be married today with Patri.

Both facts are far from each other in time but not in essence.

These two movements, like a very brief gesture of the Japanese haiku, explain pretty much who I am and what I have sought for during my life.
